It is a magical place where the Guanacaste Sabanero culture is still a way of life. Hacienda Arío has been working for over a decade to create a model for sustainable development where rural, healthy living and horses are an integral and essential part of life.
You will be riding through Hacienda Ario which is a working, family-owned ranch that encompasses 1924 ha.
Before starting you will be matched with the most appropriate horse for you, so you can have a positive and safe experience!
During two and a half hours you will ride through the most amazing natural landscapes where you will be in complete connection with nature. Riding through rivers, forests, mountains with breathtaking views and desert beaches.
You will be accompanied by one of the local cowboys also called sabanero and bilingual nature guide, while you are riding through nature you will be able to see all kind of costarican wildlife, like monkeys, iguanas, birds and much more. You will be also riding though cattle farms, where you will be able to get the real cowboy feel and before heading back you will stop at a local house for some fresh out of the coconut, coconut water!
We offer interesting and varied routes through the magical Manzanillo beach, wonderfull trails and landscapes depending on the time of year (green vs dry season)
We aim to match our guests with the most appropriate horse to provide a positive and safe riding experience. Hacienda Ario Sabaneros are true working cowboys who have been raised and have worked with horses most of their lives and will be attentive to you and the group needs.
Our horses are athletic, sure-footed and confident making the riding experience that much more special. We are happy to share our love and passion for our horses with people of all ages and levels of experience.
